OK, I know, this is not a microbe, this is a human organ but this organ is the big daddy of all organs ever in the Universe amen. That is why it deserves its very own acknowledgement. This is the Giant Microbes Original Heart and this is one bad boy you need to look after. Did you know that your heart will beat more than 2.5 billion times in its life, that is over 200 million litres of blood that has been pumped around your body. He doesn't sleep, never stops (well ok, one day it will stop but you get the drift). So what do we do to thank it? We eat chips, crisps, chocolate, tons of sugar, slouch about, no exercise and the worse one of all too much.....SALT! What we should be doing is giving him a little tap at the end of the day and saying thank you for all the hard work he has done for keeping you alive for another 24 hours.
You can use this as learning tool at school or at home or you can just get one to sit on your bed side lamp at night to remind you how lucky we all are that out little heart will keep going and going and going.
Don't forget, you can always get one of these to give to that very special someone. You could say that you are giving them your heart and they are to hold and love it, look after it and Keep it safe for all time. Then when you fall out they can stick pins in it.
